Today, we will talk about our distant relatives from a group of terapsids or brutal reptiles of the class of synapsides. Their treasure of treynodont includes three suborders: thetrocephalus, gorgonops and cynodonts. And the latter are the ancestors of mammals. But today there is an occasion to talk about the terrocephalus and gorgonops, because 3 typical species from the Kirov region of Russia were described by Christian Kammerer, a paleontologist, a specialist in Permian and Triassic vertebrates, and Vladimir Masyutin, a research associate at the Vyatka Paleontological Museum. It is worth noting that one of the species, vyatkogorg Ivakhnenko, has already been described earlier by Academician Leonid Tatarinov. In the new work, the description is carried out in context with a new type of geminidens (geminidens). Let's start with gorgonops or beast-like. Kammerer CF, Masyutin V.
