We finally made it to the Florida Keys and the beautiful Bahia Honda State Park! It was an absolute blast. We heard it could be hard to get into because they limit the amount of people that can come in so we arrived around 10:00am and had no issues but the Ranger mentioned around 11am-noon was when they start to reach capacity. So if you want to go it might be a good idea to get there earlier than later. We also brought along a @ABYSUP board to have some fun with. Our last time in Bali was an epic fail for me (Sandi) so I had to redeem myself and actually stand up! This park is so cool because there are actually two beaches, one on the Atlantic side and one on the Gulf side. There are so many things to do at Bahia Honda-fishing, swimming, snorkeling, kite surfing, hiking, watching the sunset, grab some lunch, you can spend all day there. We started out on the Atlantic side since we couldn’t paddle board in the swimming area on the Gulf side. It was windy and the water was pretty choppy but later in the day it was super calm and crystal clear water. The ABYSUP board we used was really fun, it was so easy to blow up, I was shocked. The kids did most of the work with such ease. We highly recommend this board, it was great for beginners too- especially for me since I was able to stand up and actually paddle!
