How to Completely Flush a Yamaha Outboard 1990 2 Stroke | Lower Unit Maintenance

1990 Yam 2 Stroke 70hp Outboard Maintenance Episode | Prep and clean | Pre- Install Water pump & Impeller Pre - Install new parts. Will install new thermostat. Outboard Flush (debating Rydlyme still). Looks like hot water + vinegar worked the best. Other solutions used- CLR (Calcium Lime Rust Remover), White vinegar, salt off and dawn soap. Used water pump and tub for closed loop flushing. Had to take off lower unit to have pump run solution attached to outboard water pipe and up the water jackets. Took out thermostat to be open loop flow. Added hose onto tell tale to recycle liquid back into tub. Worked awesome, will look to thoroughly flush every season. Got rid of much debris, build up and calcification. Will look to extract and replace snapped bolts, install new gaskets, prop seals and gear fluid in next episode Still need final coat of paint beneath the bow Polished and waxed boat.
