In video 48 of my 'Police Promotion Success' series, I continue the subject of briefings, a method often used to assess oral communication in force promotion processes to Sergeant, Inspector or Chief Inspector. To help you avoid 'panic stations' on this subject, this video will help aid your structure for briefings, with the NDM. The NDM is well-known in policing for decision-making (and particularly useful for evidencing the CVF competency, We Analyse Critically). But here I show it is also a great briefing model and general useful leadership CPD for the role, regardless of whether you face it in a promotion process or not.
