In this deeply vulnerable FACEBOOK Live, I showed up even though I didn’t want to. I came LIVE through tears, sharing the very real pain of being hurt by my mom — not because of the past, but because of what is happening right now. I opened up about how I sent her a message and days went by with no response, and how that silence created a spiral of hurt, fear, and stories that weren’t grounded in truth. This morning, I prayed over the conversation I am having with her today. I prayed for God’s truth to replace the reels of lies that my mind keeps spinning… those looping thoughts that grow bigger and heavier until they take over. I asked God to fill my mind with His clarity, His peace, and His voice — and to silence every lie that tries to tell me who I am or what someone else feels. “Lord, let my words be Your words. Let my heart be steady. Let her ears be open.
