Toolholders are, of course, incredibly important – not only do they keep your cutting tool in the spindle, but they’re also critical for determining tool reach, and are a vital aspect of ensuring accurate collision detection in all of your machining operations. There are multiple ways of importing toolholder designs, ranging from a simple import of a 3d model through to using dimensions sourced online (when you don’t have access to the actual object in front of you) to define the toolholder characteristics.
