Dr. Kapil’s deeply moving TEDx talk begins with a confession - two ICUs, two moments in time. One filled with loss, guilt, and unanswered prayers. The other with hope, trembling faith, and tears of joy. What connects these worlds is a single conversation, a single decision: organ donation. Through unforgettable stories; a sister tying a rakhi with the hand that once belonged to another, a 10-month-old child becoming a saviour even in death; Dr. Kapil reveals the quiet magic behind this act of humanity. As thousands wait for a call that may never come, this talk urges us to look beyond fear, age, and myth, and to start the conversation at home. In a country that understands "Rakt daan" and "Ann daan", it is time we embrace "Ang daan". Because organ donation is not about death, it is about giving life, dignity, and hope when it is needed most. Dr. Kapil Iyer is a Consultant Transplant Pulmonologist with over 15 years of clinical experience in advanced respiratory and transplant medicine. He has been instrumental in shaping patient care pathways for complex lung diseases. He now wants to actively propagate organ donation to improve awareness and patient support in India. Beyond the clinic, he hosts the podcast Dtalks with Dr. Kapil, where he simplifies medical science for the public. He is passionate about creating awareness, improving access, and inspiring conversations that lead to better health outcomes. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
