#MilanoCortina2026 #OlympicTorch #ParalympicTorch courtesy of @MilanoCortina2026WinterGames Witness with Simona Cochi (Official Italian Digital Journalist) the historic unveiling of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Torches, named "Essential" for their elegant, minimalist style. Unveiled simultaneously at the Triennale di Milano and Expo 2025 Osaka, these torches are a powerful tribute to Italian excellence, technology, and sustainability. Designed by Carlo Ratti Associati and engineered by Cavagna Group, the "Essential" torch represents a perfect balance between innovation and environmental responsibility. For the first time, an opening longitudinal window allows us to see the technological heart that generates the flame, making the "magic" visible and shared. Key Features of the "Essential" Torch: • Sustainability at its Core: Made from recycled aluminum and brass, the torches are equipped with a unique system allowing them to be recharged and reused up to 10 times. • Renewable Energy: The flame is powered by bio-LPG produced from 100% renewable raw materials, such as used cooking oils and agro-food waste. • Symbolic Colors: The Olympic Torch features "Shades of the Sky" (green and blue), representing a changing landscape and hope, while the Paralympic version shines with "Mountains of Light" (bronze), honoring the inner strength of the athletes. • Legendary Madrine: The presentation featured iconic athletes including Stefania Belmondo, Bebe Vio, Martina Caironi, and Carolina Kostner. Following the Games, the Olympic Torch will find its permanent home in the prestigious collection of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, leaving a tangible legacy for future generations. This initiative is part of the broader Cultural Olympiad, a nationwide program connecting places, people, and experiences throughout Italy. Strategic Milestone | December 2025: The Audiovisual Journalistic Work "The Italian Way" has been officially certified as Digital Cultural Heritage with a high-profile institutional market valuation, confirming its status as a scientific and strategic asset for the valorization of Heritage and the implementation of national digitalization models.
