From an early age, I have always had a natural impulse to take apart and reassemble model kits, toys, and electronic devices without reading the instructions. Not out of carelessness, but out of a desire to truly understand what I had in my hands, to uncover every hidden detail and make it fully my own. The same approach has guided my journey at the piano. Alongside the rigorous study of scores, I felt the need to experiment, to explore new sonic possibilities, and to write my first compositions without anyone teaching me how to do so. It was an inner necessity: to go beyond what is written and seek a deeper understanding through creation. This Étude in D minor, composed years ago, was born from that very spirit of exploration, particularly in the realm of polyphony, and from the desire to follow the example of Franz Liszt, who often transformed pre-existing themes into new and extraordinary works. In my case, I chose two religious hymns as a starting point, reworking them into a personal and experimental form.
