The Haridasa Keertanas are consisting of devotional lyrics in Kannada in simple colloquial language comprehensible to the masses embodied the essence of philosophy and spirituality of the Holy Scriptures like the Vedas, Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita.Vitthala of Pandharpur was their patron deity and also their mudrika(Pen name). Tradition has preserved the names of hundreds of saints of this order. Guru Nagamani srinath recorded a number of audio CDs and has done yoman service for the propagation of HARIDASA PARAMPARA by composing music over 300 Haridasa keertanas. This "Kavadaiva Neenallade" of Sri Purandara Dasa tuned by Guru Nagamani Srinath is an excerpt from "Haridasa Deepti" album containing 101 Devaranamas. Profile of Guru.Prof. G. N. Nagamani Srinath Prof. G. N. Nagamani Srinath is an internationally reputed Carnatic classical musician and an eminent figure in Indian classical arts. A multifaceted personality, she is a distinguished teacher, educationist, composer, author, organizer, administrator, director, and philanthropist. With over six decades of dedicated service to the field of art, she holds the rare distinction of being an “A-Top” graded artiste of All India Radio and Doordarshan. She began performing solo concerts at the age of nine and has since performed extensively across India and internationally, including the USA, Canada, UK, UAE, Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia, at prestigious festivals, conferences, and cultural platforms such as SAARC, ICCR, SPIC MACAY, Mysore Palace, Raj Bhavan, and national festivals of AIR and Doordarshan. She served for over 40 years as Professor and Head of the Department of Music at Government Maharani’s College, Mysore/Bangalore, Bangalore University, and JAIN University, mentoring generations of musicians through academic teaching, workshops, and lecture-demonstrations in India and abroad. A highly respected composer and author, her works are known for their literary depth and musical excellence. She has authored several books, directed theme-based Sangeeta–Nritya–Natakas, and conceptualized television serials telecast on Doordarshan. Her greatest contribution to society is her brainchild, the Sunaada Cultural Centre (est. 1983), which imparts Carnatic music through the traditional Gurukula system, nurturing students from beginner to master levels and propagating Indian art and culture among the younger generation. Her monumental ongoing project, Sangeetha Saadhane and Gurukula Audio-Visual Presentations, comprises 500+ hours of globally accepted teaching recordings, offering an immersive Gurukula learning experience from basics to mastery. Among her many honors are the Central Sangeet Natak Akademi Puraskar (Govt. of India, 2010), Ganayogi Panchakshari Gavai Rashtriya Prashasti (2024), Rajyotsava Prashasti, Karnataka Kalashree, Sangeeta Kalacharya (Madras Music Academy), and several national and state awards.
