Kabir Sahib says that no one does bhakti without fear. People will argue that we have seen our elders do bhakti but never seen them being afraid of anything while doing bhakti. We too do some bhakti but we aren't scared. Then why does Kabir Sahib say this? Kabir Sahib is actually correct. If we look around us most of us pray to God and ask Him to keep us happy or to ensure some goal in our life is met, or for some gains or for good health etc. So effectively we are all scared of these incidents happening in our lives. But these are wrong reasons for doing bhakti. Why? Because all these things are only meant for our body and as we are all aware - our body will perish one day so there is no use of these things after our death. Then why should we do bhakti?
