Episode 433 : Hello Friends, On this episode I attempt to extend my visa and find that once again the Indonesian government has changed the rules and the immigration office refuses to extend my visa forcing me to have to clear out of the country early. Indonesia is known as the absolute worst country to deal with when it comes to paperwork for sailing through their country (as far as countries where people regularly cruise by sailboat). They constantly change the rules over night and make things even more complicated than they need to be. Many yachts clear out before the border because the harbor master at the final clear out office is known to be corrupt and rips off anyone who clears out there.
