Season 1 Episode 1 'Pilot'. Upon coming home to find that his gay roommate has left town to join the professional golf tour, Calvin Frazier isn't sure what to do. Left with an empty apartment, Calvin, a rising young executive in the world of corrugated boxes who someday fancies a career in politics, turns to childhood friends Gordon and Shari Hammel. However, Gordon doubts that Calvin has the ability to grow up, especially after hearing how he still carries a torch for Felicia Felton, a classmate they both lusted after in high school. To make matters worse for Calvin, Felicia is dating Gordon's rival at the law firm where they both work. While he continues to set his sights on Felicia, Shari introduces Calvin to Robin Carlucci, a girlfriend who needs a place to live. And though a mix up leads Calvin and Robin to each think that the other is gay, once the misunderstanding is cleared up, they agree to try being roommates. With some help from Gordon, Calvin gets the chance he's always wanted to reacquaint himself with Felicia. Although things don't too well at first, Robin's advice helps give Calvin a second chance. Finally, as Felicia begins to suspect that a life with attorney Marcus Wentworth may not be for her, Shari announces that she and Gordon are about to become parents.
