COMMUNITY LAYOUT DESIGN - PART 2 DOODLE

I always mention in my posts that it’s okay to let kids bored as they come up with ways to entertain themselves. Today after the play time was done my kids were bored. AGAIN🤔🤔🤔 I mean why do they get bored despite of me being exhausted with their activities🤣. But, always remember that it’s okay to be bored. Because that’s when the creative brain begins it work 😍😍😍. It was 3 in the afternoon and I was reading something. It’s ME time😉. My daughter screamed suddenly and my son was covering something. I understood that he did something nasty and my daughter is ready to complain about him. She said look - he drew lines with sketch on our community layout. He is spoiling it🥺🥺🥺. She was very upset. I was about to say something but then my son said - it is just White and I am giving some color to it. Hmmm 🤔🤔🤔. Yes, kiddos of course that is your community layout. You have every right to do so. Remember, the community activity that my kids designed. I thought I will keep it for this week and remove over this weekend. But, my son ignited my mommy brain with a brilliant idea. I thought why not they colour it as per their wish and make doodles on it. I made the rules quickly that they should follow it. 1. The first rule they can colour but the color should not come out of the tape to floor. I told them we can discuss further if they both agree to it. They gleamed YES with happy faces. The other rules I made up with the things they are currently learning. 2. Shapes: Colour in rectangles and use only two colors to do the borders. Of course they did that. 3. Do different patterns for different blocks and not repeat the colors. 4. Get the pattern approved beforehand they draw on the masking tape. Voila. They spent 3 hours today and I am extremely happy with the output. See the video yourself and you will be surprised how they worked as a team and followed every single rule 😉. Why do I make rules even for fun activities? Because that’s how they will be more responsible and master perfection. So, to all the parents who tried the community layout design for kids, let them spread their wings high by making some doodles and colors and what not?
