Deconstructing Here Comes The Sun - The Beatles (Isolated Tracks)

Like many songs written around the end of the Beatles Here Comes The Sun originated from the business surrounding the band. George explained it like this, " Here Comes The Sun was written at the time when Apple was getting like school, where we had to go and be businessmen: 'Sign this' and 'sign that.' Anyway, it seems as if winter in England goes on forever; by the time spring comes you really deserve it. So one day I decided I was going to sag off Apple and I went over to Eric Clapton's house. The relief of not having to go and see all those dopey accountants was wonderful, and I walked around the garden with one of Eric's acoustic guitars and wrote 'Here Comes The Sun" The song began it's recording a week into the newly decided Abbey Road sessions on July 7th, 1969. John did not participate as he was recovering from a car crash in Scotland which happened at the beginning of the month. The basic track had Paul on bass, George on acoustic and guide vocals, and Ringo on drums. George also double tracked his guitar on this day as well. Further overdubs were recorded the next day which included extra drum fills, harmonized vocals, a new lead vocal, and an electric guitar part played through a Leslie speaker. A week later on July 16th the group minus John recorded the hand claps which occur during the bridge. Glyn Johns who produced the Get Back sessions was also there but as Engineer Alan Parsons remembers, "Glyn Johns was out there trying to do it – and he dropped out because he kept screwing up." A month later on August 6th George recorded the Moog synth part along with new guitar part which included a guitar solo which was not used. The string and woodwind part arranged by George Martin was recorded on August 15th. The last overdub was done on on August 19th which was a furth synth part including the intro slide. This overdub recorded over most of the woodwind instrumentation the last of which can be heard at the end of the bridge. Some of the isolations are a little rough for this one, so if I can get better ones in the future I will redo this video or put new links in the description [I've put some updated parts in the description already]. A good amount came from the 5.1 Love mix so if you hear any Indian instrumentation it's not from the original mix.
