Number one is in a taxi. Talking about where you want to go. Number two is a restaurant. Talking about ordering food, or maybe making a special request. Number three is at the doctor. Talking about some illness or problem that you might have. Number four is shopping. This is asking for things or asking to try something on, maybe requesting a special cake at the grocery store, or something like that. Number five is at the airport. There are various situations, for example, immigration, the check-in counter, or asking someone for directions. The next one is a lost person, so pretending that you're lost or assisting someone else who is lost and asking for directions somewhere. The next one is checking into or checking out of a hotel. The next roleplay idea is an interview in English. This is a very practical one. Students often have to do interviews in English, so just kind of doing a scenario to give students some confidence with this. All right, the next idea for a roleplay is a phone conversation. For example, you're phoning a business to ask to talk to someone and maybe they're not there, so you have to leave a message. The next roleplay idea is in the business world. There are a million different scenarios, for example, negotiating, talking about a contract, making small talk over lunch, anything like that. The next one is driving directions, so for example, if I ask you, how do I get to the shopping mall from here. You could say, okay drive 1 kilometre down the road, turn left, etc, so giving directions for drivers. The next one is at a coffee shop, ordering your favourite drinks and maybe your favourite snacks. The next role-play idea is a blind date. You could have students pretend that they're on a blind date or even just meet meeting someone for the first time and then ask some common questions related to that. What do you do?
