A look around the ArcticHubs location in Egersund, Norway

The Magma UNESCO global geopark in Southern Norway, forms the backdrop to the ArcticHubs location we call Egersund hub. Late in 2022 the project consortium had an opportunity to move around the hub, view the diverse land/sea uses and livelihood issues, and get a real sense of the research in action here. This short video was generated as our group visited the coastal and mountainous areas of the hub, met up with business owners, museum curators, education specialists and even a local tour guide. The blend of tourism, heritage (cultural & geological), extractive industries and aquaculture sectors in the geopark territory, highlighted the complex weave and balances needed to sustainably develop and adapt to climate change with resilience!
