Belfast City Airport has announced it is currently accepting applications for its prestigious ‘High Flyers’ Apprenticeship Scheme, providing a unique opportunity for individuals to join the Airport’s fire service. This initiative offers successful applicants the opportunity to gain invaluable on-the-job experience and qualifications in various areas, including aviation firefighting tactics and techniques, LGV advanced driving of major foam appliances, hose deployment, branch handling, working at heights, confined spaces, advanced medical casualty care, and the wearing of breathing apparatus. The highly coveted programme has proven extremely popular since its launch in 2014, reinforcing the growing demand for specialised training and employment opportunities in Northern Ireland.
