Copyright 2016, Brandon Mendel (Please use with permission). Originally Recorded 7/16/2016 Back in July, I decided to go meet up with Chance of the Knox County EMA again. This time, we met at Bicknell's newly restored 3T22A. If you've been around the siren community for awhile, you may remember an old post I did on their old setup. The siren was roof mounted on City Hall along with a tower mounted Model 2 and Erick. I've attempted a recording a few years back, but the siren failed. Now, it's arguably the healthiest sounding 3T22 I've heard thus far. It's also three phase, which isn't too common in Knox Co. Since the roof replacement, the siren has since been taken down, refurbished, and then was reinstalled on a pole by the fire department. If I remember correctly, it was recently just connected to power. The Model 2 was also removed, making the Erick, the only remaining siren at the original site. But no worries, the Model 2 will be put to some use and will be reinstalled at a later date. The Erick, on the other hand, remains a mystery for both Chance and myself. It hasn't been used for decades. Doubt it still works, but who knows. Knox Co. tested by zone that day (to fix some 'bugs'), so the test was cut short, but it was definitely nothing less than awesome and of course, excruciatingly loud. Enjoy, and as always comment, like, and subscribe for more. Thanks! Facebook: / youtubedsrx100 Twitter: @dsrx100 ( / dsrx100 )
