What began as a simple cow-share between friends and family turned into something far more impactful: a values-led ready-meal business built on transparency, traceability, and care for the land. In the newest Farm Yarns by Farmer’s Footprint Australia, we meet Til and Scott—founders of The Good Farm Shop—and hear how their journey began when Til’s mum started regenerating their family farm. That experience opened their eyes to the many ways food, especially meat, can be produced—and the consequences those choices have for our health, our environment, and the people who grow our food. When their local butcher couldn’t confirm where the meat had come from, they decided to act. They launched a small online butchery, sourcing regenerative meat directly from farmers. It wasn’t easy. But when they began turning leftover cuts into frozen meals, everything changed. Today, The Good Farm Shop partners with value-aligned butchers like Provenir, creating nourishing, snap-frozen meals made from regeneratively or organically raised ingredients. By doing so, they’re giving farmers a market that honours their work—and helping more people choose food that reflects their values. Because regeneration doesn’t stop at the farm gate—it continues in every decision that brings food to the table.
