Let's start our reading adventure in this epic action-packed educational video for kids. Dolch sight words are a list of high-frequency words compiled by Dr. Edward William Dolch in the 1930s and 40s to improve reading fluency in children. Children learn them by sight through memorization to build a foundational vocabulary and increase their reading speed. These words are often taught with flash cards at home or in the classroom, so after each exciting mini-adventure, we review our new list of sight words with virtual flash cards to reinforce what we've learned.
