We have quite a number of winter outdoor chores taking place through the winter—and it's largely due to the fact that we're getting our final deer fence in place to protect our plants. We started installing and fixing the fence 3 years ago, but given the size and scale of the project, we could only afford doing a little at a time. We're finally finishing the rest of the work, but that put a bunch more work on our plate. The winter was also very icy and snowy early on, which prompted more deer browse, so we'll take you through all the sad-looking plants that got munched on. Something tells us we'll need to replace quite a few.
