JB Meijers sang ‘Calm after the Storm’ when he and The King’s Rhythm Crew performed at De Spot venue, in Middelburg, The Netherlands, on Friday, May 25th, 2018. The King’s Rhythm Crew takes pride in featuring top guitarists and vocalists as guests on special tours, and JB Meijers is no exception, taking time from his busy schedule to join the band for a limited tour. From Wikipedia: In 2014 he wrote for The Common Linnets the lyrics for ‘Calm after the Storm’, the Dutch entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 . The text is about life after the break with a loved one. During the Eurovision Song Contest Meijers played in the accompaniment of the vocal duo. The song took second place in the competition. After the departure of singer Waylon , JB Meijers got a more prominent role in The Common Linnets and formed, after the European promotional tour, after the success of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 , together with Ilse DeLange , Jake Etheridge , Rob Crosby and Matthew Crosby the permanent staffing of the band.
