As husband, love your wife - as Christ loved the Church (Ephesians 5:25). 2. Be the head of the wife and children (1 Corinthians 11:3) - that means (1) receive input from the family, (2) make decisions, (3) initiate action and (4) give ongoing direction. 3. Provide to your wife and family - which means more than just financially provision (1 Timothy 5:8). 4. Wash your wife with God's Word - wash your wife and kids with the Word of God (Ephesians 5:26). 5. It is a husband's responsibility to nourish and cherish your wife (Ephesians 5:29).
