Truly an astonishing feat that shows Crosby's dominance from first breaking into the league to this very day at age 37. Despite the Penguins having one of their worst seasons in the Crosby era set to miss the NHL Playoffs for the 3rd straight year, it certainly hasn't been due to the fault of their Captain Sidney Crosby. Coming into to tonights matchup against the Buffalo Sabres, he was riding an 8 game point streak and with 79 points, he needed just 1 more to record his 20th straight point per game season and officially pass Gretzky’s record at 19 seasons - a record he tied last season.
