See all the equipment we put on the airplane, and inquire about your own project! https://newviewtech.com/aoa/ Flying north to Alaska, we're continuing our journey delivering our Cessna 172 back home to our flight school. The weather on our second day will be a challenge. We're flying from Bismarck, North Dakota to Williston, North Dakota. The weather will be challenging, but we've prepared and looked ahead during our preflight. There's no icing to be concerned about, but we will be flying IFR and in IMC (instrument meteorological conditions). Since we will be flying in IFR, I'm going to sit in the left seat. I usually sit in the right seat as a CFI, but I want to be in front our instruments so I can effectively fly IFR. We just upgraded the avionics to new standards, with upgrades from Garmin, PS Engineering and more. Lots of great tools for nice, precise flying in IFR. We start out by taking off rom Bismarck, then we immediately enter IMC. I'm on the instruments flying, and Daniel is helping out where he can. The flying isn't too difficult, it just takes a lot of focus. Most of the flight we are in the clouds, and we get an immediate direct IFR clearance to our destination. It's one loooooong straight line. But we have a good conversation and enjoy the flight. Soon enough we're on approach into Williston, for the GPS Runway 32 approach. I go through and do an LPV approach. Just amazing how well this airplane works. The instruments just work so well. ------------------------------------------------ Want to be a pilot?
