Charles Frank Mangione (1940–2025) was an American flugelhorn player, trumpeter, and composer. Born to Italian-American parents in Rochester, New York, he grew up in that city. From a young age, Chuck developed a deep love for music through piano and trumpet lessons, and his musical growth was greatly influenced by his jazz-enthusiast parents. Along with his brother Gap, he formed the Jazz Brothers, achieving international success with the hit song "Feels So Good" in 1978. He released over 30 albums and also appeared on television and in animated character roles. His passion for music was filled with love and joy, and he genuinely appreciated his audience. He was well known for signing autographs for fans after concerts, often staying long after the show ended. Chuck retired in 2015 and sold his copyrights in 2024. On July 22, 2025, he peacefully passed away at his home in Rochester.
