Underwater action and full tying SBS on the Pink Shrimp Jig. Shrimps are an important food source for most saltwater fish, but a Shrimp imitation works great in freshwater as well - especially when fishing for anadromous migrating fish. Salmon, sea run brown trout, steelhead and other species loves a juicy shrimp. My Pink Shrimp Jig is inspired partly by Danish saltwater fly fishing master Claus Eriksen's cool Pattegrisen - a fly I also have an SBS on on my channel :0) - and partly by my own P & S Shrimp (also on my channel). My jig is primarily tied for the spinning rod, but in small sizes on a mini jig hook, it will work fine on a fly rod as well. The main attraction on the jig versus the traditional fly, is the illusion of the lifelike movements of a shrimp trying to escape a predator.
