Acorn Labs Otto8 will be production-ready soon | Sheng Liang

Sheng Liang, a seasoned entrepreneur known for co-founding companies like Rancher Labs, embarked on a new venture with Acorn Labs after completing his tenure at SUSE following Rancher Labs' acquisition. Liang pivoted Acorn Labs toward artificial intelligence (AI) in response to evolving market trends. An open source company, Acorn Labs ensures all its projects and developments are open and accessible. “We've been building open-source projects like GPTScript and Clio, and our next open source project will be the same as the product, and it's called Otto8,” Liang said. Otto8 is already on GitHub, generating significant interest. The project's popularity was evident from the steady stream of visitors to their booth at KubeCon. Liang believes Otto8 will be production-ready for customers by year-end. And like Rancher, he has plans to commercialize it to make it accessible for organizations without deep technical expertise.
