OFFICER NAME: MERIK WHIPPLE CABIN CAMERA VIEW OFFICER NAME: WHIPPLE#355 Genesee County Flint City Dispatch aired a “shots fired” call near 3921 Joyner St. Tpr. Chiros and I responded and made contact with multiple residents on Joyner St. (detailed in Supplemental report #2) advising of a shooting. The suspect vehicle was a white in color new Dodge Charger with a cracked windshield and no license plate. Tpr. Chiros and I began to patrol the area after making sure no one had been struck by gunfire. I located the suspect vehicle sitting at the traffic light on Ballenger Hwy. and Flushing Rd. A traffic stop was attempted, and a pursuit ensued. Two PIT maneuvers were conducted and finally successful. The driver, Tyree Nazrail Parker, was later arrested after a foot pursuit and taser deployment by Tpr. McLaughlin-Smith on Pierson Rd and I-75 (detailed in Supplemental report #1). Parker was observed running with a pistol in his hand and throwing it prior to his arrest. The pistol recovered was a loaded Glock 30 .45 caliber and black in color with an extended pistol magazine and round in the chamber. The suspect vehicle. Parker was transported to the Genesee County Jail where he was processed and lodged for Flee & Elude, Receiving and Concealing a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Discharging a Loaded Firearm from a Moving Vehicle, Felon in Possession of Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Resisting & Obstructing Police, Felony Firearm, discharging a firearm from a motor vehicle, and his outstanding Felony Warrant for UDAA.
