This GlowShift Gauges Installation video shows you how to install a GlowShift 7 Color Series Diesel Gauge Package into a 2000-2006 Chevrolet or GMC 6.6L Duramax. Get this diesel set here: http://bit.ly/2upqBNi This Duramax Triple Gauge Package features a Diesel Boost Gauge, EGT Pyrometer Gauge, and a third option of either a Transmission Temperature Gauge or Fuel Pressure Gauge. Also included is a Triple Duramax Gauge Pod created specifically for the factory A-pillar of any 2000-2006 Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD with a 6.6L LB7, LLY or LBZ Duramax. This pod also fits the ‘07 Classic Body Style. We went with this set of Duramax gauges based on feedback from our Tech Team, who recommended these gauges and pod as the optimal gauge set for the 00-06 6.6L Duramax. We start with the Boost Pressure Gauge by drilling and tapping the Intake Manifold, installing a Boost Line Fitting, and then inserting the Boost Line into this threaded ferrule fitting. Next we install the EGT Probe by removing the passenger side wheel well liner for access to the Exhaust Manifold. We drill and tap into the Exhaust Manifold, secure EGT Probe Sensor Threads, and then thread in the probe. To install the Trans Temp Gauge’s Electronic Transmission Temperature Sensor, cut the Transmission Cooler Feed Line and add a T-Fitting Temperature Sensor Adapter to it. Then place the Trans Temp Sensor into the T-Fitting Adapter. If you’re installing our Duramax Fuel Pressure Gauge, an Aftermarket Lift Pump is required for the gauge to function properly. On the Lift Pump Assembly, remove the bolt from the Fuel Pressure Sensor Port and thread in the Electronic Fuel Pressure Sensor. Once all of the sensors have been installed, the sensor wires and boost line are run to the driver’s side firewall, keeping clear of any moving parts, and then into the Silverado or Sierra’s cabin. After adding the gauges to the Duramax A-Pillar Gauge Pod we proceed to install the pod, which mounts to the factory A-pillar and make all necessary wire connections. Please note that if you have a factory A-pillar speaker, it will have to be removed and placed into the pod’s optional factory speaker cutout before wiring it. This video will walk you through every detail of the process step-by-step and provide a complete breakdown of everything needed to install our Duramax gauges and pod.
