Abstract We are building HPC operations at UAB around software development best-practices. To that end we are constructing a CI/CD infrastructure that supports development and testing of services in support of campus HPC operations. We instantiate HPC clusters on OpenStack cloud infrastructure to explore capabilities, develop features, and construct releases for the HPC cluster. We encouraged involvement from users and companies from these countries and had lively networking and community-building from within North America. Several initiatives at Indiana University helped to organize this event, including the National Science Foundation-sponsored projects Jetstream2 and the Midwest Research Computing and Data Consortium Scientific Cloud Affinity Group as well as Research Technologies, a division of University Information Technology Services and a center in the Pervasive Technology Institute.
