You do not need to be healed to heal. That is the central claim of one of the most important archetypes in all of Jungian psychology — the wounded healer. The idea is this: the thing that broke you is also the source of your capacity to be genuinely present with someone else who is breaking. Not despite the wound. Through it. If you have ever been the person everyone calls when they are in crisis — if you have an unusual ability to sit with darkness without flinching, to be present with suffering in a way that other people cannot sustain — and if you have ever traced that capacity back far enough to discover that it came from your own wound — then this video is about the psychology of what you already know from the inside. Jung called it the wounded healer. The archetype has ancient roots — Chiron, the centaur who taught healing to gods and heroes while carrying an incurable wound he could not heal in himself. Jung saw in this myth not simply a story but a structural truth about what makes healing real — and about what happens when the healer's wound is not known. In this video, we go deep into the wounded healer archetype — how the wound becomes a vocation, the Shadow of the healer that operates when the wound is still running unconsciously, why the wound that cannot be healed is not a tragedy but a gift, when the healer needs to be healed, and what genuine integration of the wound makes possible for everyone the healer touches. One thing before we begin: your wound is not a disqualification. It never was. —————————————————————————— TOPICS COVERED: —————————————————————————— 00:00 - The wound that became a calling 05:00 - Jung as wounded healer 10:00 - How the wound becomes a vocation 16:00 - The shadow of the healer 21:00 - The wound that cannot be healed 27:00 - When the healer needs to be healed 32:00 - The integration that makes healing possible 37:00 - The gift that the wound makes possible ⚠️ Important Notices 1️⃣ Purpose of the Content The content on this channel is intended for informational, reflective, and educational purposes only.
