Prayer of Protection Great and mighty God, holy is Your name. As I contemplate Your majesty, I am in awe. Your throne is above all others. You need no help to exist, and You are eternal. Why does such a perfect Being love an imperfect person like me? I cannot understand Your love, but I trust You. Today, I need Your protection. Many snares are set for my feet, most of which I cannot detect. Without You, I would have been dead already. The enemy of my soul endeavours to kill me. I claim Your promise in Isaiah 28:29, “This also comes from the LORD of hosts, Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance.” Thank You for guiding me safely through this day. You promised, 'Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.' Psalms 23:4. Right now, Father, I am in the valley. It’s dark all around me. But I lift my eyes to You. In You, I will trust and not be afraid. Thank You, Lord, for being with me every step of the way. Psalms 3:3-4 says - ‘'¶But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, My glory [and my honor], and the One who lifts my head. With my voice I was crying to the LORD, And He answered me from His holy mountain. Selah.' Thank You for shielding me from every storm. Thank You, Lord, for preserving me. Thank You for Psalm 91:9-12, “Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.” Hallelujah, Jesus. Now Father, 'I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.' Psalms 4:8. Thank You for Your continued faithfulness to me and my loved ones. In Christ’s saving name, I pray, amen.
