This isn't just "grim" it's a betrayal by every level of government, councils, and services that should protect US first! Rough sleeper count in North East Lincolnshire stuck at 14 for 2025, same as 2024—a "snapshot" that hides the daily hell of 10-15+ on streets at any time Homeless families skyrocketing, 39 households with children in temporary accommodation in Q1 2024 alone, that's 82 KIDS homeless, up from 70 the quarter before Nationally, England's seeing record highs, with 70% of councils reporting surges in homelessness support needs Temporary accom costs are exploding, Councils like ours spent millions more on emergency housing, but it's never enough, shelters full, streets overflowing. While our own shiver in doorways, over 213 asylum seekers are housed in HMOs right here in North East Lincs (as of March 2025), none in hotels, but in converted family homes on our streets!
