I joined Round 2 of the WRCGAMERSCLUB Group A Championship in Dirt Rally 2.0, heading to the fast and unforgiving snow stages of Rally Sweden. Having missed the opening round, I entered the event just a day before the rally closed, jumping straight into the action. Naturally, I chose my favorite car from the class the legendary Lancia Delta HF Integrale but the setup proved a bit too stiff for Sweden’s bumpy snow stages, making the car harder to control over crests and compressions. Despite that, the rally pace was strong through most of the stages. The biggest setback came on SS7, where two brief focus lapses led to a rollover, costing valuable time and breaking the overall rhythm of the run. Even with that mistake, the result remains competitive given the massive field size. At the time of writing, I’m holding provisional P11 out of 147 drivers, which is a solid recovery considering the late entry and difficult conditions. Conclusion: Rally Sweden in Group A cars is all about confidence on snow and adapting the car to constant bumps and weight transfer. The Integrale remains incredibly fun to drive, but setup tuning will be key for future rounds. With a strong field of over 140 drivers, finishing near the top ten would be a great result now it’s a waiting game to see where the final standings settle.
