About Kashi Vishwanath Temple 🛕 The Kashi Vishwanath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, worshipped here as Vishwanath, meaning “Ruler of the Universe.” The temple stands on the western bank of the River Ganga, in the heart of Varanasi (Banaras), Uttar Pradesh. This Jyotirlinga is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India – and many believe that a visit here liberates one from the cycle of life and death (moksha). Darshan Timings & Rituals The temple opens early morning around 5:00 AM for the first Mangala Aarti, when the first light of dawn touches the golden shikhara. The day continues with several Aartis: Mangala Aarti: 3:00 AM – 4:00 AM Bhog Aarti: 11:15 AM – 12:20 PM Sandhya Aarti: 7:00 PM – 8:15 PM Shringaar Aarti: 9:00 PM – 10:15 PM Shayan Aarti: 10:30 PM – 11:00 PM You can book your Aarti passes online through the official Kashi Vishwanath Temple website. Each Aarti has its own divine charm – while Mangala Aarti feels like a spiritual awakening, Sandhya Aarti fills the entire temple with golden light and chants echoing across the city. 🧭 How to Reach Kashi Vishwanath Temple By Air: The nearest airport is Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport (Varanasi Airport), around 25 km away. By Train: Varanasi Junction and Banaras Railway Station are well-connected to major Indian cities. By Road: Regular buses and taxis operate from cities like Lucknow, Allahabad, and Patna. Once you reach the temple area, local e-rickshaws and walking lanes take you to the main shrine through the beautifully renovated corridors. 💰 Entry Fees & Puja Charges Entry to the temple is free, but special Aarti or Rudrabhishek bookings can be done online or at the temple office. Approximate prices: Rudrabhishek Puja: ₹450–₹1500 (depending on duration) Mangala Aarti Pass: ₹500–₹1000 per person Shringar Aarti Pass: ₹300–₹800 per person Devotees can also buy Prasad, Bilva Patra, Rudraksha, and other sacred souvenirs from shops nearby. 🌍 Welcome to Being Rider Avi Kritika 💑🏍 We are a travel couple exploring the world one destination at a time! 🏔️🏝️ From hidden gems to popular spots, we bring you exciting travel vlogs, tips, and fun experiences.
