Inauguration of President R.D. Saunders as Ohio Christian University’s 13th President. On March 20, 2025, Ryan D. Saunders was inaugurated as the 13th President of Ohio Christian University. President Saunders served in pastoral ministry for 22 years in Ohio, Florida and Georgia. R.D. became a student of personal growth through studying God's word daily and assimilating effective leadership skills from fellow OCU alum, Dr. John C. Maxwell, who later became a close friend, mentor and employer. R.D.’s calling as President is informed by Isaiah 61— to raise up students, who are future Oaks of Righteousness for God’s glory, so they can transform the world for Christ as ministers, business people and community leaders. R.D. is a transformational leader, a gifted communicator, and a creative thinker who brings passion and inspiration to all. R.D. and Shelli, his wife of 38 years, are blessed with two married sons, Logan and Landon. R.D. and Shelli met as students at Ohio Christian University, where God transformed their lives to serve HIM wholly and completely. They have surrendered their lives to the Kingdom and are blessed to be a part of Ohio Christian University as the 13th President of the University.
