Pakistan is facing a severe urban water crisis. In Ghouri Town Phase 4C-1, Islamabad, hundreds of bore wells had completely dried up due to excessive groundwater extraction, climate change, and concrete development. In this project, we have initiated recharging of 500 dry bore wells using rainwater harvesting — a scientific, sustainable, and low-cost solution to raise the groundwater table and revive dead bore wells permanently. 🌧️ What this project achieves: • Recharges underground aquifers • Raises the natural water table • Revives dry and partially functional bore wells • Reduces dependence on water tankers • Provides a long-term solution for urban water shortages 🏙️ Why this matters for cities: Concrete jungles prevent rainwater from soaking into the ground.
