Lots of Lord of The Rings References Lots of Harry Potter Excitement Beards & Kilts The Best Route of the NC500 THE STORY Usually taken on in the Summer, follow Jake, James & Paul as they attempt to navigate themselves through some of Scotland's most unforgiving terrain, in the middle of Winter. Their route begins in Edinburgh as they head North towards Inverness for a bit of Axe Throwing to get them into the Scottish spirit of things, then along the East Coast of Scotland to John O'Groats via Dunrobin Castle. More castles are on the menu as they tick off the Viking Norse Strongholds of Thurso & Varrich. Done with the Castles of Scotland, the Road Trip Trio move on to explore Scotland's largest Cave (Smoo Cave). East & North Coasts of the NC500 now complete, they take a turn South to Clashnessie and the Clashnessie Waterfall, through the impressive roads of the Scottish Highlands, over the Kylesku Birdge and down toward Ullapool where they discover a mystery at the Ferry Boat Inn. Not unlike the Scooby gang, it's back in the Van to take on their Quest to find an ancient burial site in Annat, but just as they start piecing the mystery together, a Storm spells disaster and they are forced to take the Valley Pass towards Toriddon. Gayle force winds delay their North Coast 500 Road Trip & Jame's decides that safety comes second as he drives toward Britain's Steepest Road, the Bealach Na Ba Pass. The "Pass of the Cattle" is one of the most difficult roads to climb, sat safely in the Guinness Book of World Records as Britains Steepest Ascent. With the NC500 Usually then cutting across Glencoe, the Jamalon boys divert to the Isle of Skye, where they meet a friend in Portree who takes them to Skye's must see destinations, The Old Man of Storr & The Quiraing. After a day Exploring Portree & Skye, it's time to head back to Edinburgh via Glencoe, possibly spotting some magical film locations along the way. #HagridsHut AND THERE YA GO!
