Digitizing Small Details for Embroidery

In today’s video, we’re going to cover digitizing small details within embroidery designs. Generally, there are two rules for embroidery digitizing, first, the design needs to look good, second, the designs needs to be production-friendly. Once in a blue moon, I’ll get a design come my way where I have to give credit where it’s due. The design shown in the video was definitely digitized by a professional, pathing was done to perfection and the only issue was with the amount of detail and densities which made it stitch intensive when embroidering on the machine. The main complaint was the detailed areas were so hard that it was almost impossible to finish a run without multiple thread breaks and potential needles breaking. So, without re-digitizing the design I’m going to see if I can make some small changes to make the design run without breaking needles. Plus we want to keep as much of the detail which was originally created. This one digs deep into theory, so grab a notepad and enjoy.
