In both meetings we were talking about how we build on the conversation in Sochi, on all of the issues that were discussed between (Russian) President Putin and Secretary Kerry (US Secretary of State John Kerry), but we particularly dug in on how the United States might be able to support the process of Minsk implementation, support the parties - Ukraine, OSCE (Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe) and Russia - as they try to take forward the work of the trilateral contact group. And as the four working groups on security, on political issues, on economics and on humanitarian aspects of the Minsk agreement get going." 4. Cutaway of media 5. SOUNDBITE (English) Victoria Nuland, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs: "The United States' principled position is that all sides in this conflict need to be talking about full ceasefire, full pull-back, need to be withdrawing military equipment, and that includes the military support that the Russian Federation is providing to the separatists in the east (of Ukraine). There is no indication from our own information or from my consultations in Kiev that anybody on the Ukrainian side, anybody in leadership, and I spoke to (Ukrainian) President Poroshenko, I spoke to (Ukrainian) Prime Minister Yatsenyuk, I spoke to the security officials, has any intention of launching new hostilities, that would obviously not be compatible with Minsk." 6. SOUNDBITE (English) Victoria Nuland, US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs: "Any new hostilities ignited by separatist forces with Russian support would also be a violation of Minsk, Minsk is being violated on a daily basis on the western side of the Minsk line and that's what needs to stop. We need to stop all these violations and get the OSCE (Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe) into all of the hot spots." 8. Cutaway of media STORYLINE US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland said in Moscow on Monday the Minsk ceasefire agreement is being violated on a daily basis. Nuland said the US wants Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) monitors to get into the conflict areas to prevent violations. She said there is no indication from anyone on the Ukrainian side Ukraine will launch new attacks.
