We have to say goodbye to a legend, R.I.P Hickstead

I wish I did a better job of this :( I really don't know what to say. My idol and inspiration is gone. Like most horses, he was more than just that. He was an underdog, along with Eric, who against the odds fought their way to the top, as a team, together. Even though the horse was 'too small', he strove to prove them wrong. Eric, I want you to watch my video and realise how lucky you are to have had a horse like this, to have gotten a bond with such a wild animal. Even though he's gone now, you've still got your memories with him. I envied you, for having a horse like that. A whole community is mourning, i'm mourning. I didn't know him personally but I feel the loss as if i've lost my own. You were a great champion and now a great legend. May Eric let your legacy live in through his passion for you and through your progeny. You did the world proud and may you rest your soul knowing the change to did to many aspiring riders. I'm really at a loss and don't know what to say. I think all of us in the show jumping world have just been stunned into silence. It's a dark day for us all.
