Retropupillary Fixation of Iris Claw IOL : Surgical Pearls | Iris Fixated Cataract Surgery in Delhi

Iris claw IOL is a very useful technique to learn as this lens can be implanted for patients with complicated cataract surgery with inadequate posterior capsular or zonular support. This IOL is also useful for secondary implantation in aphakia or in patients with pseudophakic bullous keratopathy (PBK) where an IOL exchange is required along with endothelial transplant. It is a very easy technique to learn, much simpler than scleral fixated or glued IOL and has much lesser endothelial cell loss than ACIOL. Reetrofixation helps in further reducing this risk, I am sharing this surgical video highlighting a few of the surgical tips which I have found very useful.
