BRS MLA T. Harish Rao has leveled serious corruption charges against the Congress government today, March 20, 2026, alleging a ₹1,000 crore scam in the construction of Young India Integrated Residential Schools. Speaking to the media, he claimed that tenders for 76 schools were awarded at nearly 5% excess rates to favored contractors, including those linked to ruling party leaders and certain BJP members, while deliberately excluding 26 constituencies represented by BRS MLAs. Harish Rao further alleged that the project is being managed by retired officials to facilitate these irregularities and vowed to provide comprehensive documentary evidence on the floor of the Assembly.
