July 26 marks the 34th anniversary of the American's with Disabilities Act becoming law in the United States. The ADA guarantees equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities in public accommodations, employment, transportation, State and local government services, and telecommunications. The City of Charlotte takes pride in ensuring that people with disabilities are able to take part in, and benefit from, the range of public programs, services, and activities offered by the City. One person instrumental in making that happen is Kaher Ahmad, ADA Plan Reviewer and Senior Construction Inspector.
