This is the Poco X2 Review. It is also known as the Redmi K30 in other regions. Find out our full review along with the pros, cons, and comparison with Realme X2 here. But before that, let's know a little about the price of Poco X2 in various countries (For the 6GB RAM and 128GB variant), Poco X2 Price in Nepal (expected): NPR 35,000 Poco X2 Price in India: INR 16,999 Poco X2 Price in Pakistan: PKR Rs.46,999 Poco X2 Price in Bangladesh: BDT 26,500 The Redmi K30 biggest feature is the 120Hz refresh rate display. You get a big 6.67-inch FullHD+ panel with a 20:9 aspect ratio and dual punch hole. However, it’s an IPS LCD panel and not the AMOLED panel. However, we have liked the quality of the panel. It has good brightness, colors, and contrast on the Xiaomi Redmi K30. The company has also provided the Gorilla Glass 5 protection which has helped from not getting minor scratches and drops. However, we noticed a few backlit bleeds as we saw in the Poco F1. Moving on, the Poco X2 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G. The unit we have has 6GB of DDR4X RAM and 128GB of storage. There’re also other variants, but we believe the 6/128GB is the most value for money. The performance has been good so far. However, with the Poco name associated, we had bigger expectations. For eg. The Poco F1 with Snapdragon 845 yields better performance in gaming like Pubg, COD, and others as it has better graphics overall. But since the Poco X2 has a 120Hz refresh rate, gaming is smooth as you can play in a higher refresh rate. With more and more games supporting the 120Hz refresh rate, Poco X2 is an ideal choice if you want a better refresh rate. The design is also another good aspect of the phone. You get a glass back and feels more premium than your average mid-range smartphones in 2020. It is definitely better than the Poco F1 which had a plastic back. The 4500mAh battery also provided a solid 1-day battery. It can endure more if you turn on the 60Hz refresh rate option. Poco has also provided a 27Watts fast charging inside the box that charges the battery from 0 to 100% in around 70 minutes. The Xiaomi Poco X2 is also one of the few phones to come with a new 64MP Sony IMX 686 sensor. The primary lens captures photos with great details and consistent dynamic range. As compared to the 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor of the Realme X2, it certainly yields better images. However, we liked the colors on the Realme X2 more. So, we hope Xiaomi tunes the colors with an update to make the Sony IMX 686 live up to the expectation. The 8MP wide-angle images are average and nothing impressive. The 2MP depth sensor helps in portrait images but isn’t great either. The 4th 2MP macro lens is gimmicky like we saw on the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Videos are great, however. Even the 4K 30fps footages are stable and rich in detail. Moving on to the front camera, you get a 20MP+2 dual selfie snapper. Selfies suffer from the same problem as the Note 8 Pro as they have an unnatural red tint in them. The 2MP depth sensor is of no use too as the portraits/edge detection seems like done via software. Despite a few setbacks, the Poco X2 is still a great mid-range smartphone. However, what’s strange to see is the Poco X2 is nothing but a rebranded Redmi K30. And since Poco is now an independent brand, we hoped for more. Hopefully, Poco will be launching the true successor of the Poco F1 soon and better it not be the rebranded version of the Redmi K30 Pro.
