There is a hearth in the courtyard, and the sight of smoke rising from the iron kettle was also impressive. After the hot spring, we had lunch at the nearby restaurant Sansuitei. It is such a popular restaurant that there is a line before it opens. We were impressed by the deliciousness of the water from the Ikeyama spring, which is one of the 100 best water sources in Japan.
