SOUTHWICK COUNTRY PARK PARKRUN Event #600 - Celebrating my 50th event! SOUTHWICK COUNTRY PARK PARKRUN! Celebrating their 600th event! A great parkrun located to the South-West of Trowbridge around Southwick Country Park! This slightly hilly parkrun utilises just trail paths! Join me as I provide an in-depth review of the Southwick Country Park Parkrun experience. The course is on a 1868 metre lap and participents will run almost three laps anti-clockwise, reaching the finish line on a fast downhill stretch near the tea room and the car park, making for some interesting finishes. Buggies/prams and dogs are allowed. It's good to note that there are toilets near the start line too. As the route is on trail paths, trail shoes are recommended, however, road shoes are fine but in the wet weather may potentially be more difficult. In terms of how busy the parkrun is, it is an average size parkrun with around 182 attendees and the paths are wide, therefore, there are no real problems with congestion. With it being a slightly hilly flat parkrun, I wouldn't say it has the potential for a PB as I have done a lot flatter courses! The Country Park is a nice scenery for a parkrun with wildlife and trees on either side of the path. Being their 600th parkrun, the atmosphere was great and there were some great volunteers to keep you going! Every Saturday I take part in a 5K run trying my hardest to get under 20 mins. Southwick Country Park Parkrun is a parkrun towards the South-West of England, Trowbridge.
