From the City🗽to the Country 🚜 NYC to the PA Wilds

A Labor Day Weekend 2025 trip starting in Philadelphia, heading up to New York. I got breakfast at an Australian Cafe in Manhattan, then headed uptown to Harlem to check out the Big L Mural. Afterwards, I walked into Grand Concourse in The Bronx, then took the train up to Wakefield. After that, I hung out with a friend in Yonkers, then drove down to Washington Heights where we crossed the George Washington Bridge into New Jersey. We drove on I-80 across NJ before getting stuck in a 2-hour traffic jam near the Delaware Water Gap which required a detour. Once back on I-80, we crossed into Pennsylvania, took a brief detour near Berwick, then later that night, arrived at the farmhouse in Clearfield County. After a few days on the farm, we headed back to NYC to attend the early hours of the West Indian Day Parade. We marched through the streets of Brooklyn in a Haitian Rara, listening to music, drinking Haitian beers, and eating Conch fritters. Around 5am, I made my way to Penn Station, took NJ Transit down to Trenton, then took SEPTA the rest of the way home to Philadelphia.
